President: Grounds are prepared for formation of new medical schools

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here Monday said that today the way is open for formation of new schools in the field of medicine.
The chief executive made the remark at the 12th Medical Sciences Research Festival.
He added that even today the grounds are prepared for emergence of individual such as Abu Rayhan and Avicenna as creators of new medical schools.
Turning to various medical schools in the world, each responding to requirements of some medical fields, Ahmadinejad urged, „If in the course of medical research, it is proved not to be answerable to current requirements, rather the relevant approach should be revised.
Ahmadinejad hoped that the efforts of medical researchers on the domestic scene will facilitate the first step towards export of medical services and relevant research to other countries, in particular the Middle East region, as of the coming Iranian year (to start March 21).
At the ceremony, the president awarded the festival’s badge to 49 researchers active in various medical fields.
